Chapter 01 — Our Story

The studio behind cinema-grade adult streaming

TrannyBase is an independent streaming label built for viewers who care about lighting, framing, and the rhythm of a well-cut scene. We publish film-first adult video, modeled on the discipline of a real production house.

A film-first streaming label

We started because adult video deserved better production value.

TrannyBase was founded in 2019 by a small group of cinematographers, colorists, and former festival programmers who had grown tired of the cheap lighting, blown highlights, and lazy editing that had become the default for streaming adult content. We believed the same craft that elevates independent cinema — deliberate framing, controlled contrast, considered sound design — could transform the medium without diluting it.

What began as a single eight-scene series shot on a Sony FX6 in a converted warehouse has grown into a full streaming platform with in-house directors, a color-managed mastering pipeline, and a curated roster of performers who choose their own scenes. Every release passes through the same review process a festival submission would: shot listing, color, sound, narrative shape. Nothing is uploaded raw.

What we believe

Three principles guide every frame we ship.

A streaming catalog is only as good as the discipline behind it. These are the production values we refuse to compromise on, regardless of genre, budget, or release window.

Cinematography over coverage

One deliberate shot beats ten safety angles. We light with cinematic intent, frame for mood, and let the camera breathe. Every scene is shot on a cinema body with controlled aperture and matched color temperature.

Performer autonomy, always

Every performer on TrannyBase chooses the scenes they appear in, sets their own limits in writing, and reviews the final cut before release. Compensation is transparent and paid within 72 hours of shoot day. No exceptions, no gray areas.

Color-managed mastering

Our mastering pipeline is calibrated end-to-end: scene-referred capture, ACES color management, and a final HDR-aware pass. What you watch on a calibrated display is what the colorist approved. No crushed blacks, no oversaturated skin tones.

TrannyBase v1 launches

Private catalog opens to 240 founding members. First 4K HDR master delivered to the streaming pipeline.

2022

Performer ethics charter published

One of the first streaming labels to publish a full on-set conduct and compensation charter. Adopted by all partner studios.

2024

International co-productions begin
